Saturday the lovely rep for Electra Bikes Felicity brought us our demo bike and instantly I fell in LOVE. She even has a name "Cherry Baby".
I have a confession to make, I have not rode a bike in over 10 years. Seriously. But before you boo and throw fruit I recently (today) took my new Electra "Deluxe" (pictured) for a ride to Island Bay today. I was stopped twice by admirers and tooted at twice (no not because I was going to slow or because I look good in my helmet) the motorists gave me a thumbs up in approval on my sweet ride. If your are gonna be eco and ride a bike why not have fun, look cool, and feel sort of like a big kid?

Goorin brothers have done it again! Oh my, my ,my so many lovely spring hats and lovely bags. Every detail is superb. The lining in these hats are lovely.
I am in love with the green handbag with leather detail. All instore now.

Hello good peeps! Lucky dip was this last Wednesday but because we booked out so quickly we had to schedule another class for this Sun...today. So due to this class not yet having seen the projects I can't post pics from Wednesday's yet. So next week you'll see the lovely creations of these ladies.
OUR NEXT crafty get together for Sept is booked out but we have already started a sign up for Oct 21st nite. Sign ups are happening now and the theme will be XMAS!!! till then...

Strawberry coloured Antheriums (LOVELY)
new ceramics from Mia Hamilton. Stunning glazed vessels with each a varied unique finish. The Tapioca series was fired with tapioca in the clay creating beautiful bubble effect. She is one to watch.

This lucky dip month was soft toy theme! Oh my sock monkey was it the coolest funniest night yet. Apologies that I didn't get more pics but the old camera died :(

Bunny, Pig or Puppy were the projects everyone embraced thier toys and there was many bad puns shared. Everyones toy said something about themselves. Thanks to Robyn Yee for her help on the night and thank you to everyone who came. We broke an all time record for this class. counting 26 ladies who attended. Our next class on August 20 has fully booked out already but we have scheduled an alternate class on
Sunday Aug 24th @ 4pm-6pm. This next class theme is Jewelery!!! think funky & fun.

A year ago we were in Next Magazine and I never had the ability to scan the article. Now I do so walah! have a look. It was a lovely piece written on the shop that still gets read even so long after it was published. Lots of lovely ladies have found us because of this article and I am so thankful for that.

Winter can be lovely. Can I share a picture I found recently of my daughter when she was 5 at Seatoun beach park about this time of year. It's one of my favorite and that day sits in my sunny place in my heart. I'd love to share your lovely winter pics too. So send them in. The best one will win a BOTTLE of Shott Lemon Honey Ginger. mmmmm!

Right now I am standing in the shop...BLOGGING. Yes it took two plus years to get my broadband in shop. I have no idea if this will be a good or bad thing. So far we've You Tubed videos and danced shamelessly in our window, looked up new flowers varieties before ordering and...Did I say YouTube? So blogging wasn't first on the list but it's a hard thing to do when people are sitting in their car watching you at the light and Katie over my shoulder spell checking etc. Blogging used to be my midnight romance but now I am in more desperate use of sleep that I must start doing it daytime style. New this weeeeeeeek! So excited it's Room 2 flat pack furniture by local designer Jamin Vollebregt
Now I've known Jamin for a while now but sadly I had no idea he was this talented. He's the most humble lovely guy I think I've met. His work is simply excellent. I am the gleeful proud owner of a playhouse with slide which he designed for the shop. The kids in the neighborhood are stoked with it too. Here's a wee bit about Jamin...

Background:
Jamin Vollebregt established Room Two in 2004. The company, which has a workshop in Newtown, Wellington, is mostly involved in furniture design, but Room Two also takes on industrial design projects that fit the company's vision of sustainable design. Jamin Vollebregt studied industrial design at Massey University, and he graduated with a bachelor of Industrial Design in 2004. During Christmas 2003/2004, Jamin worked at Cicada Studios, the furniture incubator established by David Trubridge in the
Hawkes Bay.

The Pop Out range is Room Two's first manufactured range. Room Two has undertaken corporate and private commissions in Wellington, including furniture for Peoples Coffee, a fairtrade coffee roastery and espresso bar in Newtown, Wellington. Room Two is currently working on a second range of plywood and pine furniture which will be manufactured next year.

In Stock now are the coolest Spaceage lookin' totes. We had these last season and I got so many people telling me they loved mine I promised myself I'd get them in again when possible. They hold soooooo much stuff and easily flip from wet to dry with a wipe. You can veggie shop in the morning have a briefcase by day, wine bottle tote by night. Yes, sometimes one needs to carry that much wine. Also a new Koziol addition are these ubber cool cake stands. Love them! my cupcakes will look so "Jetsons" on them, hence the pic of the robot cupcakes. I'm totally going to make for my sons 5th.
